Evaluations We Provide

  • For individuals who have suffered substantial physical or mental abuse as victims of qualifying criminal activity and are cooperating with law enforcement. Our evaluations document the psychological impact of victimization and support the U Visa application with a clinically rigorous, clearly written report.

  • For survivors of severe forms of trafficking seeking immigration relief, our clinicians prepare psychological assessments that document the mental and emotional impact of exploitation. These evaluations are conducted with particular sensitivity to the clinical needs of trafficking survivors while maintaining the forensic standards required for legal proceedings.

  • For individuals fleeing persecution based on race, religion, nationality, political opinion, or membership in a particular social group, our evaluations document the psychological impact of that persecution and corroborate a credible fear of return. Reports address PTSD, depression, anxiety, and related conditions, supporting claims under INA provisions and the Convention Against Torture.

  • Act VAWA self-petitions require documentation of psychological harm resulting from battery or extreme cruelty. Our clinicians conduct thorough evaluations capturing the full clinical picture of domestic abuse, including coercive control, isolation, and its cumulative psychological effects, in a format that meets the VAWA legal standard.

  • Extreme hardship waivers require more than personal statements. Our evaluations provide clinical documentation of the psychological impact on qualifying U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident relatives, addressed in terms courts and USCIS officers apply to the hardship standard.

  • For minors who have experienced abuse, neglect, or abandonment, our evaluations document the psychological impact of those experiences and the potential harm of repatriation, supporting SIJS petitions and related protection claims.

  • For clients in removal proceedings, our evaluations establish the psychological impact that removal would have on qualifying U.S. citizen or permanent resident family members, addressing developmental, emotional, and relational consequences in terms that meet the legal standard.

Testimonials

I completed Dr. Ana Sierra's Immigration Evaluation Training earlier this year and I may say she is the expect. Dr. Sierra is well versed in immigration issues and specifically completing evaluations very thoroughly. Dr. Sierra offered examples, PowerPoints and suggestions in connecting with attorneys and other providers. Dr. Sierra is warm and compassionate about her work and providing the best quality for clients. I would highly recommend her for her services if you are coming in as someone needing an evaluation done or if you are needing training to serve this population.
