Voces de Impacto by the Honduran American Association (HAA)
From October 1st to October 3rd, a three-day gathering organized by the Honduran American Association, with 100+ Honduran and Honduran American entrepreneurs, journalists, community leaders, academics, and nonprofit reps. It opened at 30 Rockefeller Plaza with a networking event, then the "Catracho/a Chats" moderated by Neida Sandoval and Dunia Elvir, and drew guests like actor José Zúñiga, Copán Álvarez, chef Bryan Girón, and Garífuna activist José Francisco Ávila.
The headline outcome was the launch of the National Honduran American Network, starting with 15 nonprofits serving communities in the US and Honduras. It closed with a tour tied to the 1990 Happy Land Social Club fire, where we honored New York's Garífuna community.

PAST EVENTS
10 Years of Healing & Advocacy
We gathered on June 19th at Dirty Habit to celebrate "10 Years of Healing & Advocacy." It was a great evening reflecting on a decade of serving immigrant communities in the DMV area but we have also expanded to FL, TX and NJ.
It was a wonderful celebration, and I’m so grateful for the support from The Chicago School: it made the milestone even more special, classified as "Friend of the Practice Sponsor." We raised funds from ticket purchases, which was donated 100% to three non-profit organizations: Carlos Rosario International Public Charter School, One Voice Many Languages (MLOV) and Intercultural Counseling. These organizations provide critical low-cost or pro bono work for our most vulnerable in our community. That was the goal of the evening. I am attaching a PowerPoint of our other sponsors.
We also awarded four individuals in our Latine community that have been critical and paved the way in Washington DC for us to become successful leaders.
